Log 2: first encounter

Serena angrily slams her fist on her chair "damn it, what the hell, activate the emergency fire system, I dont want any fires spreading from the hangar." Serena says as she turns to Williams "you get off the main deck, see if you can organize a squad to get on their ship, they havent tried to board yet and no messages so we still have no idea why they did this" Serena says. William nods and heads off.

"Dammit give me a report, what happened?" Serena shouts to the communications officer

"I dont know captain, we just lost communication with the first squad that went on the ship" she replies

"dammit william, ok get three more squads ready I want to know what is going on here" Serena says

"just got a report from 3rd floor, it got cut off but I made out 'there are too many' then it went to static" one of the officers says

"what the hell, ok we are no longer treating this as a crash, this is now a boarding situation, red alert all hands to stations, I want the marines armed and ready to respond in 1 minute" Serena says "shoot on sight, I dont think this is the lost crew doing this"

Logs stopped here and did not start up again till near the end of the recordings, what follows is the best we can gather from the information, though a few disagree on what likely happened.
