Arriving in Quebec

Sneaking into town

Due to the...unauthorized nature of your passage, leaving during daylight may not be the best idea. You can feel the shift in the ship's movements as it leaves open seas. You sneak off into the smallest, darkest crevice you can find and bide your time. It takes a long time to actually make it to port, and an even longer time for the sailors to finish working near you. It's an anxious time, constantly in danger, and the shape you've had to contort yourself into is hardly comfortable. Still, it's better than the army.

As night comes around, you stir from your spot. Moving slowly, you stick to the shadows and slip out of the cargo hold. Fortunately, almost all of the sailors are in town other than a sleepy-eyed watchman. You've stalked deer 100 times more alert than this man, so it's no feat of skill to get off the boat.

Even though it is dark, you take the best look of the town you can get in the low light. The city looks to be of a decent size, not quite a metropolis but probably well over 5000 inhabitants. Tired of sitting and waiting, you gladly seize your chance to walk about, wandering the streets of the city.

Does anything happen?
