Jackie!

"Jackie," one of the mothers spoke, "would you mind drying Lauren off? I have to go check on the children."

A wicked smile spread over her lips. "Of course! Clearly some adult supervision is needed..." She chuckled adding, "Just look at what poor little Lauren did!"

Lauren felt her stomach doing flips. Teased like a child for being tripped up into the mud, she knew her long-time rival would be getting an even more personal view of her humiliating nudity! Worse, from so close, Jackie might notice the embarrassing effect all this was having on her. She could die just thinking about it all!

Jackie continued, recalling a chilly exchange earlier in the night, "As a matter of fact, why don't you send Danielle back here to help me so Mrs. Johnson can get back to the party."

"What!?" Lauren's ears were burning. "Danielle!? Danielle!? She can't be serious," Lauren thought as her mind raced, "Of all people... Why did she have to ask for that stupid bimbo from my work!" Danielle, also a friend to the bride, happened to be Lauren's chief rival for the most sought after girl in the office. If she found out the truth, Lauren knew, she would never live it down!

Her mouth was frozen, but Lauren found her self slowly backing away.

"How considerate of you, dear," Mrs. Johnson said as the other mother turned and headed back toward the party.

Lauren was stunned at how in so short a time her night was going from worse to worse to somehow even worse! Lauren's mind was reeling but she knew she must do something.
