The Golden God Returns

Gathering your courage you step out onto the path. The two nearby guards startle then grip their spears tightly and begin to approach you.

You thrust the idol out in front of you, showing it to them. They pause in their tracks and their eyes go wide. You hear one of them gasp. "Chyoa!"

You begin to walk purposefully toward the village, the image of Natali safe at home the only thought in your mind. It was the only thing giving you the courage to do this. The guards part and allow you by them, they follow closely behind you. As you hit the village proper more and more of the tribe's people see you, all of them with similar reactions to the guards. You hear hushed voices always with the same word. "Chyoa!" "Chyoa!"

By the time you reach the main square the village is abuzz. None of the villagers have gotten within five feet of you but they now surround you. You see the bonfire was kindled and ready to go, the drummers were already in position and most of the crowd had gathered. You'd picked the perfect time to arrive.

The queen rises from her throne, her eyes wide with wonder and excitement at the sight of the prophecy coming to pass. The holy man stands beside her, he turns and begins praying to the mountain. Again, the word chyoa features prominently in his devotions to the mountain.

Raising the golden dildo high above your head you shout out. "CHYOA!"

A gasp runs through the crowd. The queen raises her hands and says a few words to you, then she begins addressing the crowd. She seems to be informing them of something, or perhaps her speech had been already prepared for just this situation. Either way she holds the entire village's rapt attention. This was perfect. Godspeed Soo-yin, godspeed!
