You head across the street carefully and locate the small rack of pamphlets, a little less than half the slots are empty now, and some of the others are ones you've already gotten, such as "[The Vigilance Committee Gift]" but you see a lot of ones you haven't read yet.

You take one of each pamphlet that has one left, resulting in the following set:

You know there is one place on that list that you really need to read up on right now: so after stuffing the rest of the pamphlets into the inner pockets of your jackets you unfold the one about "The Monster Factories: Blood for the Monster Gods." and take a look.

In summary of what you learn, the monster factories create one-off monsters for various deities in a 'wrath-and-vengeance' sort of mood, using cheap knockoff soul forms and a lot of blood from various impoverished demons and gods that live in or visit the city. Each of them is constantly running blood drives day and night to keep their stocks topped up and fresh, (because apparently the fresher the blood the stronger the monsters are,) and are willing to pay good money to anyone who will donate.

There is a small note scribbled in tiny crabbed handwriting on the margin on the last page though: "Deities: beware of making an opening for the future creation of a BANE. Only sell y______/" There is no further information on what a "BANE" is, or how to avoid it, however. It is as if the person writing it were suddenly snatched away....

You also try to look at the stars to determine the time but discover that either it is cloudy tonight, or there is some kind of dome overhead because only a faint skyglow greets your eyes...
