Oh, little Salubri, how far you and your clan has fallen. Once, you were considered the Unicorns of the vampires. Yours was one of the High Clans, and you were welcomed as healers, wise-men, and confidants in the highest courts. Your Clan founder, Saulot, was considered the closest the damned had to saint. But now? Now you are seen as soul-eaters, wicked diablerists, and fiends. Your third eye, once a mark of your enlightenment, is more of a burden, marking you unmistakably. This is all due to Clan Tremere.

Tremere **** themselves into vampire-hood and were **** to establish themselves alongside the other clans. They accomplished this by having their leader diablerize your clan founder. At first this sent the other clans into a frenzy. How dare these filthy ex-mages **** themselves into the realm of vampires and then diablerize our saint! However, as time went on they showed their utility by using a form of blood-magic known as Thaumaturgy. To even further cement their place, they began to spread rumors that the Salubri were in fact, soul-stealing fiends by way of their unique discipline, Obeah, the power of healing the soul and body alike. As the Tremere tell it, they did all vampires a favor by slaying the most vile of all Salubri, Saulot, and urged for the other clans to cast out and offer up the Salubri in their courts in exchange for wisdom and secrets. Although there was hesitation at first, most other clans began to doubt the intentions and goals of the Unicorns. After all, the Salubri were far too nice and caring for being vampires, so what were they secretly planning? This doubt eventually culminated into a Tremere-led purge of the Salubri, and to your situation now.

It is said that there are only seven Salubri Healers left in the world. This, of course, is a rumor that your clan started to help obfuscate your presence. In fact, there is about one Salubri Healer in most major cities. The reason for this sparsity is to keep the clan, as a whole, safe. Large numbers tend to attract large crowds and once one Tremere know the location of a Salubri, all Tremere know the location of a Salubri.
