Tables Turned

The door opened and Lindsey's band mates shuffled in, laughing and playing along as usual.

Then they stopped theatrically in their tracks, staring right at her. They made wide eyes and gaping mouths and she couldn't help but giggle.

"Like what you see, boys?", Lindsey teased.

"Oh god! Lindsey, cover yourself!"

Lindsay put a hand over her mouth and bent over, holding herself slightly.

Lindsey doubled over laughing, trembling with mirth.

She was laughing so hard she couldn't open her eyes. Tears were streaming down them.

"Like you'd have a prayer trying to see me!", Lindsey said with a smug look on her face.

She didn't know why they found this one so funny, but their silly faces made it all the better.

Until one of her band members started elbowing the other in the rib and frowning.

Until one of them came over and put their hands on her shoulder.

Suddenly her demeanor changed. She became meek, and wondered if.....No way! It couldn't be!

She could feel fingers splayed out over her skin, and suddenly realized the plush carpet between her toes. She closed her eyes and looked down. This couldn't be.

Opening her eyes, she saw her own bare feet with unpainted toes wriggling in surprised freedom.
