Try to kiss her

I close my eyes and lean in towards Millie. I feel my lips against hers. She does not move, but her lips do not part either as I softly nibble on them. Then I feel her hand on my chest, softly but firmly pushing me away.

I open my eyes and look at Millie, but her eyes are looking straight ahead at the movie on the TV in front of us. I sit back and look down on Millie's hand resting on my thigh, and my hand is still on her thigh. I look over at her again, but she is just watching the movie, pretending like nothing.

I sit for a few seconds, contemplating what to do next.
