He lets it go

Jack decides to ignore Kat's infinitely confusing mannerisms, if you could even call them that. He had a strange feeling that he had got himself into something he's not prepared for. Besides he didn't think in the middle of Calculus was the best time to get into it. Why was he so concerned about it anyway, he's not usually one to read into things so much, but he couldn't help it, he cared about what she was doing, he needed to know why she wouldn't tell him.

After class Jack walked Kat to her locker. She starts turning the combination on the lock, Jack leans up against the locker next to her.

"So you think you're understanding it a bit more?" he asked, she clearly wasn't going to tell him in person, maybe if he texted her tonight she would.

"It think so," she responded, "I still don't think I'm going to be able to do the homework though."

"You gonna need some help?" he said

"If you want," she said, looking at him with those alluring eyes again.

Obviously she wanted help, why wouldn't she just say so. Jack hadn't interacted with girls an enormous amount, but he never got the impression they were this confusing. "I got to go to study hall," he says, "We can do it tonight."

"Alright," she said smiling at him

Jack walked away feeling like he had been tricked, and that he couldn't do anything to stop it.
