Hell No

"Not going to happen." You said taking a step forward,

The leader narrowed his eyes, "You really going to die for a horse and a whore?" He said with an icy tone,

"I'm not going to." You replied as you tightened your grip on your sword,

"Get 'em!" The leader shouted out causing his men to charge forward.

You and Kent rushed forward as Tarik dove back into his carriage. Tarik's driver attempted to get away but was hit with a crossbow bolt hitting him in the chest. He slumped to the side dead, as Jenessa took a shot hitting the enemy crossbowmen in the neck. Kent ducked and parried away the sword strikes coming at him. You dodged the jabs coming for the lance men and wild swings of the enraged leader closing the distance between you.

Kent clashed his sword against one of the swordsmen leaving himself **** to the second attacker. Just as the man went to stab Kent he quickly shoved the man he was clashing with towards him causing him to be impaled on his friend's sword. Jenessa pulled herself on top of the carriage to get a clean shot as one of the men attacking you.

You took a swing at the leader yet he pulled back causing you to miss his neck by mere inches. He pulled back and punched you in the face causing you to stumble back. The lance man began to run forward to stab you yet Jenessa hit him in the chest stopping him. He fell to his knees holding the arrow attempting to pull it out, Jennesa notched another arrow hitting him in the chest again, then again finally killing him. Kent finished off his second man by jamming his sword into his neck.

The leader let out a short yell and charged you locking blades with you. He kneed you in the groan and hit your sword out of your hand. You took a slow breath as you backed up, he ran up at you again swinging his sword down at you. You quickly shot your hands out grabbing his wrist and redirecting his own sword back at him stabbing him in the stomach. He let out a gurgling yell as he dropped down to his knees and slowly fell to the side dead.

"You okay?" Kent asked as you wiped the blood from your lip,

"Fine, you?" You replied,

"Good," Kent said with a nod,

"Jenessa?" You called back to her,

"Still in one piece." She said with a little smirk,

"We should get moving," Kent said as he sheathed his sword,

"No, no, no! He is dead! You killed my driver!" Tarik exclaimed as he ran to the front of his carriage, "How do we continue now!" He said lowering his head before turning back to you, "Why did you not listen to him!?"

"Are you fucking joking? They wanted to **** me." Jenessa said disgusted,

"Then you let them! You have-" Tarik started to yell only for you to grab his shirt and push him up against the carriage,

"Are you insane!? Get back in the carriage before you lose your tongue." You said with a cold glare, Tarik quickly ran back to the door of his carriage and climbed inside, "You two get back inside the carriage." You said as you pulled yourself up into the driver seat. You tossed the dead driver to the ground and were a bit surprised to see Jenessa jump up to the passenger seat with you, "You aren't getting inside?"

"Fuck no, Tarik is an asshole. If he says anything else I may just kill him. I think it's better if I'm up here with you." She explained,

"Fair enough." You said with a little smirk,

"Thank you John." Jenessa quietly said, "I know that you could have died for making that choice."

"No need to thank me." You replied as the carriage began to move forward once again.
