Chapter 63 by Kazstudgoblin Kazstudgoblin

Take a glider or stay to learn about magic?

Best to take the gliders.

Weighing your options, you decide it would be better to take the gliders, and leave anything to do with your latent powers for the master to reveal. "We take gliders", gathering up your group you head outside to the precipice of the cliff while Jaeda shuffles around into a hidden area of the nest. When she returns she has a large basket in hand, which she places on the ground, "This is the glider, let me show you how it works..." She runs your through unpacking and repacking it, how it is fueled by the currents of hot hair rising from the plains, and that the whole thing is enchanted to be fire resistant in case you crash.

You depart with little incident, the glider seemingly driving itself with little input. Making good time as the magma cracked plains bellow glimmer red through the mist, you eventually spot the barrier. Shooting into the sky past your view, and off into the horizon in either direction, it is a blue translucent wall. Sparks of red flicker across it, and you spot the camp of the harpy queen as a mar on the land at the base of the wall.

Hundreds of multicolored wings flit across the camp, almost every clan of the harpies gathered in one place. Your glider is met mid air by a dozens of curious younglings, giggling and dancing around you before flying off. Then the true guardians appear, bulky muscled women clad in light airy dresses escorting your descent into the camp. Oddly enough they don't challenge you or question who you are, although you can smell the scent of arousal clinging to them as they take quick glances at your men, leading your party deep into the encampment to a bright red tent.

Time to meet the queen.
