John rose up from where he had begun to smother his minion, and looked down at her face, still driven by orgasm... still branded by him, now without any sign of rebellion or sparks. She was fully under his control now... though she was too senseless or, John feared, too traumatized to be of any use at the moment. He had as much a way to wake Fairy up as he did to restore Alysha to a sensible state, and so he resigned himself to unplugging the overflowing hole between her legs, within which his work was finally done. Despite Fairy's denials, and Alysha's rebellion, he had done it: she was now pregnant... and he was far too exhausted, spiritually and in Game terms, to bother with extracting them now... particularly almost or over twenty or more of them. Though now I have enough mana to at least... wait, what's this?

Still standing over Alysha's twitching form, John eyed a curious new addition to his interface: a plus sign that blinked with gold and silver light, alrernating to a rhythm he couldn't place. He tapped it... and nearly stumbled back as a trio of windows burst forth in a roulette, replacing his character sheet.

PARAGON MASTERIES

Was it because he was level ten or higher, or something less obvious? He couldn't be sure, but he didn't care nearly as much about its origin as he did its apparent promise: each panel revealed a rising chart, the sort of talent tree he'd seen in a dozen failed (and two successful) MMORPGs he had burned through before. Unfortunately, unlike those, the branches were obfuscated, turned into black plates that gave no hint of their contents when tapped. Only the root icons had any data, and only they would accept one of his paragon points. Upon each rested a rune of a familiar language: the same, strange script on the contract he held, the sort that, even with its singular, complex drawing, conveyed to him everything that each mastery path would grant him for starting it:

PARAGON BODY 0/5: Gain 5 damage resistance against all sources of damage, including unaspected, and cumulative permanent physical stat bonuses.
1: +5 DR, +1 to STR, AGI, END
2: +5 DR, +2 to STR, AGI, END
3: +5 DR, +2 to STR, AGI, END
4: +5 DR, +3 to STR, AGI, END
5: +5 DR, +5 to STR, AGI, END

PARAGON MIND 0/5: Voluntarily become immune to these adversarial effects, and/or any need for them.
1: illusions (perceptions), sleep
2: illusions (emotions), mind control
3: illusions (all), mana denial
4: attribute manipulation, mind-editing
5: mind-reading

PARAGON SOUL 0/5: Gain powerful paragon spells that do not level, but are scaled to the user's level and each casting's mana investment.
1: Ruin
2: Empower
3: Shift
4: Chance
5: Restore

The options were impressive, enough so that he didn't want to hastily spend his newfound system points just yet. He minimized his windows and looked down, noting with a chuckle how the cleric spirit worked tirelessly to vanish the ever-refilling puddle of cum beneath Alysha. John bent down to a knee and lifted her, surprised at how light she was, and set her on the bed. He moved her massive locks of hair to the side, and thought to put the sheet over her when a wet noise indicated another batch of his seed erupting from her nethers. John shook his head as he looked at her blank expression, leaving the tireless cleric to do its duty between her legs. She was so terrified... but I'll get her back to normal, and hopefully that'll calm her down. Wanting to be sure of that much, he did use what little mana he had regenerated to acquire just one of the fertilized eggs floating inside of her.

Special item: fertilized dark elf ovum. This ovum (Alysha Newman) contains the genetic material to produce six children. It has been fertilized by six human sperm (John Newman), despite the normal human sperm's vulnerability to its toxic chemical makeup.

Wait... if an egg for a dark elf can be as many as six, and I got an achievement for twenty or more... John shook his head. No, I should let her rest. Besides, I'm not going to let her keep them. It's not like she wants to carry my kids anyways, right? Looking back at her tear-stricken face, he felt confident about that much. Wordlessly he scooped Fairy's sleeping form up, closed the double doors behind him, and headed to the fountain to meditate. Laying her there by his side, he thought carefully about how to proceed, and only when he was at full mana did he dare to look over the PARAGON sheets once more. As tempting as damage resistance and presumably flexible spells were, being immune to sleep and mind control ranked high enough to earn both points being poured into the MIND table.

The points clicked into place, and the drowsiness he felt lifted from him... but not before he had already put the second point in and missed, just to his peripheral, a curious achievement.

Achievement unlocked! "More Human Than Human"!
You've risen to the Paragon status. Your destiny threatens to unfold. What will you become when it is realized?

"What the Hell...?" The words were breathed out... and cut off by a sharp intake of air as he caught sight of some kind of darkness, like smoke, enshrouding his arm, growing in the corner of his eye-

But it was gone the moment he turned to regard it. His hand was untouched, his stats remained the same... and his sheet was modified anew, now presenting multiple, detailed panels on his skillsets, all the passive effects he had earned via quests and achievements, and his paragon trees. It's a bit busy... better I just leave it on the summary page for now. The old window reformed, and now came with hidden tabs for the rest that appeared when he hovered a finger over them. It was an elegant solution, and his approval kept it permanent. Now he just had to consider: where to put sixteen points, and two skill points? His Charisma score of 40 all but glared at him from the sheet... but now he had enough senses to doubt it. Would it raise that mysterious achievement up another point? Was that good for him? Equilibrium, Copycat, and Aphrodisiac had all proven incredibly useful, though Copycat was just by his dreams of abusing its power in the future... wasn't it worth trying for at least one more attribute-based skill? Besides, charisma all but promised something to smooth out his social status, right? Maybe even something to get an edge over all those crazy-powerful mages and warriors he's been meeting...

Swallowing his fears, he put exactly ten points into Charisma and read the inevitable pop-up.

Achievement unlocked! "You had all of them on your side, didn't you... didn't you?"!
You've achieved a Charisma score of 50 or higher!
+??????? 4/7 Complete
You've learned Cult of personality!

New Skill: Cult of personality lvl1, passive
Cult of personality: all subjects of a lower level than you who have any relationship score with you increase their relationship score by the difference between your levels x [skill level + 10]. Every RS point that would go beyond 200 instead becomes a direct mp discount on spells targeting them.

Every ability thus far had ranged from nifty to wildly useful... but this almost seemed trouble-seeking in how good it could potentially be. Weren't most of his classmates deeply beneath his level? Still smiling at what he might expect at school from now on, he addressed the six points remaining, and the memory of his last fight found them split between endurance and agility. Though it tormented him to waver between his choices, he finally put the two skill levels into copycat, hoping to harvest more potent skills that way. With all of his leveling finally wrapped up, he steeled his nerve and hearthed out of the temple, ready to try and farm new summons... preferably far away from the nightmare creatures that apparently existed on his neighborhood block in the barriers.

And he knew just the place...
