“You think that was hard?” Ai challenges Tristan. “That was easy, bring on whatever you got next.”
Tristan smiles and says, “Very well.”
The Matriarch in the middle waves her hand again. This time two holes appear in the center of the arena and two Spiderling lords appear.
Upon seeing them, Ai grabs her sister by the arm and says, “Be a moving target.” Then she lets go of Eve and starts running away from her along the edge of the arena. Eve follows Ai’s advice and starts running in the opposite direction.
Each of the spiderling lords chooses one of the sisters to go after. They scuttle towards each of their targets, leaving the center and spreading out. Eve studies her target while running around it. It seems to be heavily defended with plates all over its body. Or rather, all over the top part of its body. It doesn’t seem to be having any armor under its belly.
Once the spiderlings are sufficiently close to their targets, they start shooting webbing at them. Since the sisters are moving, it is difficult for them to hit. They are not trained shooters, after all. Eve successfully avoids all shots directed at her. Ai however gets hit in the arm. But that is only because Ai wanted her arm to get hit with some webbing.
The moment Ai’s arm is covered in spiderwebs, she makes a dash towards the spiderling that hit her. With her closing the distance, the webbing connecting her to the spiderling loses its tension and it no longer matters how hard the spiderling pulls on it. It is like pulling on a loose rope. Ai runs along the spiderling’s left side, then dives in between his 1st and 2nd leg. While underneath, she cuts his belly with a raptor claw. Then she runs a circle around this 4th and 2nd leg and pulls on the webbing as hard as she can. The three legs get pulled together, causing the spiderling to lose his balance and falls on its back.
While the spiderling is flailing on its back, Eve jumps on top of it and stabs it in the throat with the Lupick fang, then quickly jumps off again. In the meantime, Ai has cut herself loose from the webbing, but her arms feel really tired as she takes the web off.
“Thanks for the hint, sis.” Eve quickly says. “If not for the hint, I would have been webbed already.”
Like with the Raptors, Ai and Eve run towards either side of the Spiderling. The creature makes a definite decision to stick on Eve and faces her while shooting at her. Finally he manages to hit her and catches her by the legs. Eve stumbles as both her legs are suddenly trapped together. Immediately the Spiderling starts to reel her in. Suddenly he receives incredible pain in his abdomen. While he was pulling in Eve, Ai closes the distance and tries to cut his lower body, but she moved too slowly, and felt the Spiderling kick her with two of it's legs as she got knocked backwards, and hit the wall. Eveline suddenly tries to reach out with her own claw, but feels her arm suddenly get webbed to the ground, and her second arm follows quickly after, along with her legs causing her to be completely stuck to the ground, and she's very quickly losing her energy.
Ai, manages to get back up, and notices she dropped one of her claws next to the Spiderling Lord, and only has the Lupick claw, and her exhaustion, as she sees the Spiderling lord standing over Eveline who's been webbed to the ground, as the Lord turns to face Ai.
"Surrender now, if you'd rather be a handmaiden then a spider's breeding bitch" Minerva says from the thrones above.
