Remi reflects.

As Remi looked back at the gray-haired woman staring at her over the rim of a wine glass, she couldn't help but feel like her life was flashing before her eyes a little bit.

Remi had never been with a woman. For nearly ten years now, she had never even thought about it. The closest she had come was a few shared kisses on dares, but she hadn't even made out with those girls. Those kisses had been almost as chaste as something she might have shared with a family member, not anything with any sort of sexual charge to it.

Well, there had been one time that she and her middle school best friend had felt each other up a little, but that was all. One minor occasion that had amounted to nothing, although that former best friend had come out as gay years later. That announcement had always given Remi a strange feeling in the pit of her stomach that she had never quite understood.

She had had plenty of guys in her life, of course. Who didn't working at this sort of job? By now she had slept with eleven men of varying skill levels and different amounts of intimacy, men who she had been with for only one night and men that she had been with for months. But they had all been men, and she had never even really thought about that fact before today.

Had Mrs. Reardon not dragged her into her bedroom under false pretences, maybe Remi never would have had this train of thought all her life long. Remi had no idea, and it was too late to consider that possibility now, since it had already happened.

So now she was left with the question: was she willing to do this? Why had Mrs. Reardon even picked her, anyway? What was she expecting, and if Remi decided to... indulge her and her wife, could she even live up to her expectations? It was a whole host of questions that a part of Remi wished that she had never had to wonder about. But here she was.
