Yeah, it would make the whole process easier for you if they just went along with whatever you told them. No matter what feelings they might have for each other, they'll need to adhere and respect your say. Besides, it'll be fun to give them orders to do and watch or lay back and enjoy whatever they're doing. This is obviously the most important aspect.
