Chapter 29 by WhiteFeathers WhiteFeathers

No, really what should you do?

All the things!

You needed to quickly get your Work bellow the 100s since that is the recharge limit, so you checked the Castle Management and noticed that adding a new floor would require quite allot of work and gain you resources, you could easily even add the new crypt to hold those two bodies since your closet was starting to smell.

[Use Underground Plan "Crypt"? Requirement 50 Stone. Stone Gathered due to creation of new underground floor fill requirement and reduced the Stone amount by 50% from 100 stone.

Total Resources needed 100 Work, 50 Stone. Yes/No.]

Pressing yes and getting your Work down to 68 where it was slowly recharging once more, you notice some new items appearing in your resources.

Stone:115. Dirt:20. Iron Ore: 14. Copper Ore: 4 and Tin Ore: 1.

Then you noticed that there were options for the Crypt that you were viewing at the moment on the side, upgrades which were not possible for the broken facilities that layered around the castle. The only ones possible for now was the zombie creation zone which made it a nest for zombies, ghost creation zone which made it a nest for ghosts, Corpse preservation zone and Dark Fog Room which would increase stealth for everyone and increase Shadow Damage.

Quickly choosing to upgrade it with Corpse Preservation which costed 5 crystals, before getting the options to store bodies there which you instantly activate which put both of the corpses there before nothing that Corpse Preservation indicator has a plus besides it. Tapping it showed that it could be upgraded to Corpse Restoration Zone and then an altar could be built to enhance that effect.

You liked your corpses fresh and not all that smelly, as such you used 5 more crystals and 20 Stone to acquire the two upgrades, you'd have more crystals easily if another priestess died on a trap, which would happen in time and you had tons of time on your hands.

Looking at your remaining Work points and thinking that maybe you could easily get a few more crystals, you look through the castle and find somewhere called the Magician Room on the second floor somewhere most likely to hold crystals compared to the other rooms, but it was destroyed and filled with rubble because of the ceiling caved in itself, the room above being the armory.

Stone was spent to restore the roof before 50 work was expended to clean the whole room netting you with 15 crystals among other stuff, but the crystals were what you were aiming for.

Holding onto a small 18 work you refocused your vision to your room and tried to make a window, which just caused a hole to appear when you just tried to mine in one direction and collected some rocks while making a small storage space of sorts in the wall. So you whine a bit about not having access to windows waiting for something to happen.

Seeing that nothing did happen and you were just whining to yourself, so you stopped and tried to find Outside Plans on the Castle Management, which took some time that had somehow allowed you to gain 1 more Work bringing you back to 18. Finally finding it, you noted that windows weren't unlocked and you can only make a balcony this high up.

Taking a breath you look over to the left wall in silence taking in every detail of every stone slab that came together to make that wall, something you might have taken for granted, then when you were finally done taking in everything you nodded and creating a balcony with a wooden door outside, expending stone and wood and a small bit of iron.

Getting away from the desk finally brought up a few things that had leveled up.

Mining Leveled to Level 10.
Increase base digging to 0.77 Cubic meter.
Increase tool digging bonus to 25%.
Increase chance of higher quality mineral will be gathered.
Stone Craft Leveled to Level 12.

Art Craft Leveled to Level 7.
Increase chance of getting a Fine Art Piece by 7%, Good by 0.7%, Great by 0.07%, Majestic by 0.007 and Legendary by 0.0007.

Salvaging Leveled up to level 4.
Increase chance on finding non-fragmented resources in heap of debris by 15%.
Castle Management Leveled up to level 2
Increase amount of Floor and room Blueprints, Upgrades and Castle Facilities available.

This brought a smile to your face, which you were sure was to keep on your shadowy face as you would look off in the landscape and-

THUD!

Why was there an invisible barrier by your balcony, not allowing you to open the door, making all of your work useless?

A quick return to the desk was made and a quick change to the balcony returned wood and iron to your stockpiles as you removed the door, allowing a cold breeze go onto your skin, standing back up you make you way to the balcony 'door'.

Nearing it you start to creep a bit more before closing your eyes and attempting to put a hand through, getting nothing in return you walk with a bit more confidence and the most confidence you had in ages when you finally make it through the gateway and now look over the peaks of the surrounding mountain as the damaged outsides of the castle were seen from this high tower that barely stuck up from the box shaped castle.

Leaning on the railing of this simple stone balcony you taken in the bit dreary scenery, fascinated on how the outside world looks compared to the life of darkness within the insides of this small dungeon which was barely functioning.

Standing there taking in the sights have made you lost the time and when you finally did realize you were out there too long was when the doors opened and quickly avoiding the chest a group of Heroes came face to face with you with their blade, bow and staff at the ready.

It was the two adventure's from before, but their ally archer of some sort seemed not to be something you could fight against. The powerful and highly design armor and bow made out magical metals of some sorts that brimmed with power and legendary splendor.

Still you wanted to atleast try, so you reactivated your aura Soul Drain and quickly casted Soul Crush, getting a miss from the archer who just looked amused at you trying to put up a fight, in response you try to Cast Illusion but them not taking their eyes off of you it seemed like your attempts to become invisible had failed.

The Archer drew back her arrow, allowing you to fire off one Dark Orb at her. You never did see the orb hit her as her arrow hit you somewhere and instantly killed you making you fall into darkness once more, wondering what will be happen when you once more wake up while also feeling very bitter about this defeat.
