Chapter 2 by Gerald F. Gerald F.

Whose help will you ask?

Your teacher's

Agnès Grangier, your medieval history teacher, is a tall blond woman in her mid-forties. She always intimidated you a little, as well as a person than as a teacher, but you must confess that you sometimes got hardons thanks to the cleavage and thighs that her strict tailored suits occasionally reveal.
Receiving you in her little office at the university, she frowns at the transcription that you have brought to her.
"Couldn't you translate this? Why, nothing is more easy. It describes a kind of pendant..."
She quickly puts the words in Modern French.
"Actually, it should look like this (on a piece of paper, she sketches a jewel made of intricate gold wires). And the text says that if you sway it before the eyes of a woman, saying the formula "neque ulla femina mihi resistet" (let no woman withstand me), you will be able to control her mind. Stupid, isn't it? But there is something more serious..."
She taps on the sketch she has made.
"I've already seen a talisman like this, and do you know where? At the town museum! Gaspard, I think we are about to make a discovery: maybe we could prove that our manuscripts and the museum talisman have belonged to the same man, and that this man has lived, centuries ago, in our own town! You should check this. Ask the museum's curator, Marie-Claude Legall. She is an old friend of me, we were in high school together."

What to do?
