Oh. This meant she must have noticed him staring. On the other hand, it also meant she must have liked him staring. But it costs mana again. Couldn't he just gain simple, not mana consuming skills? Even worse, since it already costs mana, he couldn't mana infuse it to strengthen its effect.

Anyway, it still was a really usefull skill and there was no reason not to use it right now. He looked at June, as she preferred to be called, more intensely even and activated the skill. The effect was slow and not showing directly, so John was uncertain if the skill even took effect at all, until he double checked his inventory. Since he had lost the mana needed to activate it, he assumed it did go through.

Then something happened. They were just done talking about todays task and the time for practice had come. June walked around and helped some of the pupils to put the crafting materials in the right position. As she got closer to him, he was eager to see if something happened, but he was unlucky. Not that nothing happened, it did, just not for him. She reached down to the desk of the guy next to him and bend over in doing so. It was the worst position she could have done it in. The guy she was bending over to must have had the perfect view in her dress right now, and the guys behind her obviously had noticed her ass.

The only guy around now she was not showing off to was him. Wasn't she supposed to have a positive relation to him? Wait, no, that was not how it worked.
