Meeting your captors

You lose track of time in the back of the van but you know it's a long drive. When the van comes to a stop and the doors open, you're yanked out and escorted through some hallways and enter an elevator that goes down for a long time. It seems like you might be heading underground.

Finally, you're forcefully thrust into a wooden chair as someone straps your arms and legs to it before removing the hood. Your first reaction is to try to activate your magic rings, but you can't reach them. The room is big and bare except for cameras mounted in the four corners of the room. The chair you're sitting on it the only piece of furniture in it and there's a single door in front of you. There are a few military personnel standing around as they make sure you're secured, before they leave the room.

You just sit there, waiting for someone to come explain what they want.

After a long time, the door opens and two people walk in. You recognize one of them. It's Sidney Teller, the commander at the NSA whom you had encountered earlier. Her eyes shows no recognition of you when she sees you and you remember that your mind control instructions had been very specific. She would just text you the information, and the sex was a one-time deal. Next to her, is a older gentleman with two stars on his shoulder. This is getting serious.

"Mister Colins," the general addresses you, "I'm General Talbot. This is Commander Teller. As you can see, you're being held in an undisclosed facility."

"This is illegal!" you shout.

"Well, this place doesn't exist. And you won't too, if you don't answer our questions. Earlier today, your cellphone was pinged in the New York area in the residence formerly owned by Miss Olivia Pinke. Seconds later, it was detected in a secure facility in the NSA which few people in the world have access to, before reappearing in New York. Can you explain that?"

"It's must be a glitch," you say, cursing your recklessness in your head. Messing with random people and criminals was one thing. Taking on the government was a bad choice.

Sidney doesn't say a word, steps forward and punches you in the gut.

"Ooof!" you groan.

"Try again," General Talbot says.

"I don't know!"

"No, I think you do. You see, we were able to track your cellphone back for the past few weeks and it's happened a few times. Miami beach. Some abandoned aircraft hanger. Various places around New York. The data doesn't lie. The sooner you cooperate, the faster this is over, Mister Colins," General Talbot says and he notices the rings on your hand. "Take those rings of his off, otherwise the electric shocks will burn his fingers off," he says to Sidney.

She bends down to pull at the rings on your fingers but they don't come off. "They're stuck," she says as she keeps trying. It confirms something you had suspected about the magic rings, that they can't be removed by someone else.

"You need to press on the stone on the rings to loosen it," you say, trying to trick her and she falls for it.
