Traffic

The officer had asked you where you wanted to go, and you said city hall would be fine. While you were tired from saving those hostages and it's pretty late, you hope either Ashley or Amber is still there for your end of the day arrangement. Otherwise, you could always just show up at their apartment and have your pick.

Sitting in the back of the squad car, you browse social media and the news. Your name is blowing up everywhere, with people dubbing you the 'Hero Mayor.' So many of the hostages are grateful for your intervention, and they are all doing interviews about your heroics and bravery, not knowing that you had a little help from your magic rings. There's even a group formed online that's calling for you to run for president and already it's hit the 1 million member mark. They've even created logos and a website for you and you smile when you see the red, white and blue sign that says "Colins for President." It has a good ring to it and given how great being mayor is, you don't dismiss the idea of a higher office.

"Sir, it's going to take a while," the officer says, bringing you back from your daydream.

"What?"

"Traffic, sir. Even in a police car, can't get pass all this traffic."

"That's unusual, even for this city, right?" you ask.

"Yeah. There's a Taylor Swift concert at Madison Square Garden tonight. It's still 3 hours away, but it's packed already. Look at all these people."

Indeed, the streets are packed and you see tons of young people heading towards Madison Square Garden which is a block away. You curse your luck because if the officer wasn't here, you could just teleport away. Instead, because of your public status, you realize it's going to be harder and harder to be discreet with your powers. You start to think about how presidents have virtually no privacy, since they're guarded all the time, and start to wonder if you really should do it.
