You stay

"Thanks Ms. Marin, I'll stay. It shouldn't take too long with whatever Hanna wanted me to listen to."

"No problem," she says. "You need some more water?"

"Sure, if you don't mind." Ashley grabs your glass and refills it.

"So, are you in a band? Just taking a stab from the clothes."

"Yeah. Cancelled band practice to help out Hanna tonight."

"Wow, that's nice of you." She takes a moment, and you can read on her face what's going to come next. "You know she's dating someone, right Mick? Not to accuse you or anything, but this wouldn't be the first time in history in which a man has tried to win a woman's heart by doing favors for her."

"Oh, I'm aware Ms. Marin. Just thought I'd help someone who asked. Not often I get to flex my useless knowledge muscle." It's a half truth. You don't really get to use your music knowledge save for pub quizzes when your fake ID works. Let's be honest though, you want Hanna and her boyfriend doesn't really enter the equation in your head.
