It's Hanna

"I'm sorry mom," Hanna says, the moment she comes through the door. "Before we start, I'm sorry. There was something that came up and I couldn't cancel."

"Why did you ring the doorbell to your own home, Hanna?" Ashley asks, which you find to be beyond reasonable.

"I thought if I rung the doorbell then just came in it'd throw you off enough not to be too mad at me?"

"Well, you get points for original thinking dear, but we're talking about this in the morning. In the meantime, you should apologize to your friend here and get to whatever you needed him to do. I'll leave you two alone, but please remember I'm still int eh house and Caleb is walking you to school tomorrow."

"MOM," Ashley said, blushing a bit. "I'm sorry about that. And for not being here. Did you really cancel something just to help me out?"

"Yeah, just band practice. You sounded like you needed help and I will always relish the opportunity to educate on the best music ever made."

"Nice," she says with a laugh. "And thanks."

"Okay, so where's this music?"

"Oh, it's on my laptop. I have it upstairs."

"Cool. I brought some headphones over for both of us and a splitter. It might be best if you're listening too so you can tell me exactly what you need identified."

She nods and the two of you head to her room. You lean against her wall while she sets up her computer. She doesn't notice you scoping her out.

"Okay, it's ready to go," she says. You hand her a pair of headphones and the jack splitter. The two of you hook in and she plays the track.

"This is easy," you say. "This is a Misfits song. Last Caress."

"Okay, but do you hear that?"

"What?"

"Look, I've never heard this song before, but this sounds weird."

"Play it again." She does.

"There! Do you hear it?"

"Yeah." And you did. There was an odd click in the background. You take off your headphones. "This is called Where Eagles Dare. The audio recording sounds like it should be from the Twelve Hits From Hell sessions, but that echo...it's weird. It's not on any recording I've ever heard. Where did you get this?"

You notice as the question seems to freeze Hanna up. "Um, it's just...I can't say."

"Look, if you can't give me the info, I'm about as much use to you as Wikipedia. Anybody could have told you what I just did."

"Mick, I just can't okay? I can't even tell my mom." You sit next to her, much closer than she would normally have allowed, you guess. You put your arm on her shoulder.

"Hey, I can't help if you don't trust me. You don't need to tell me why, but if you want to know what I know, I need to know where you got this." She turns to you, your face much closer to her than she expected, but Hanna doesn't back away. You've got her.

Your lips get closer until the two of you are kissing.
