The Lifetime Fitness gym was about a 10 minute drive away from the man's apartment. He got into his ordinary car and started his journey. He couldn't help but feel a little tinge of excitement as he drove onwards towards his next target.
The man stopped time on arrival and walked straight past the front desk and into the gym. It had great facilities as far as the man could tell. There was a clear divide though. On the left side of the gym where the treadmills and other cardio workout machines were, stood a bunch of people who didn't really stand out.
The man unfroze time and heard them talking in hushed whispers taking secret looks to the right every so often. The man, who was now wearing appropriate clothing for a gym, looked over in the same direction. There was the hateful eight. Well three of them anyway.
Ethan, Emma and Pete took up the majority of the gym. It seemed their presence alone scared off all of the other gym members. The three of them were talking about how the other day Pete snapped on some guy at the deli bar for serving him some 'unhealthy shit' as he put it, to which they all laughed. Instantly the man could see why these people weren't well liked. They were loud and obnoxious and were clearly trashing the gym, throwing litter and equipment around when they didn't need it.
The man tried to get closer and started lifting some weights when Pete came over. "Can't you see this is our turf buddy? Go over there with the rest of those cowards!" He called out loudly so everyone could hear.
"I'm not getting in anyone's way." The man said before calmly continuing his exercises.
"Grrr... you know what pal? Soon my fists gonna be getting in the way of your face!" He growled before lashing out at the man. He stopped time before any connection was made and moved out the way of the fist coming towards him.
