Longsword

You pulled your sword from its sheath and stared at the leader of the group, "Are you sure you want to do this?" You asked them as you and Kent moved together in front of the woman, "Leave now and live."

The leader scoffed, "Price on any Reness head is twenty gold pieces. I'm looking forward to cashing in." He said coldly and ran forward with his man right behind him. The woman took a shot that hit one of the swordsmen perfectly in the chest. You and Kent ran ahead and clashed against the enemy soldiers. You made a swipe with your sword and slashed the throat of the ax men. Kent drove his sword into the stomach of a lance man and quickly shoved him off.

Kent began to clash swords with the second swordsman while you ducked and danced around the leader's lance while he swung at you wildly. The woman notched another arrow and aimed at the man Kent was fighting against. You jumped back as the leader jabbed his lance at you. You quickly swung your sword breaking the tip of the lance off. Kent ducked down, and the woman took an effective shot hitting the second swordsman. The leader pulled out a short sword and charged at you, you ran forward and gave a quick slash slicing his stomach. He fell to his knees clutching his stomach you put one hand on his shoulder and with the other plunged your sword into his chest killing him.

The three of you let out a relieved sigh as all five men laid dead. "Twenty gold a head? That's mad." Kent said shaking his head,

"No better way to entice people than gold." You said wiping off your blade from the man's blood,

"I guess we should get moving. The quicker we get into Falcone territory, the better." Kent said sheathing his sword.

You nodded, and the two of you began to walk away following the old hunter's trail yet again, "Wait! Are you two really going to leave me here?" The woman called out,

"Huh?" Kent asked,

"You heard the guy, twenty gold for any Reness head. Add to what you told me what would happen if they catch me. Sounds safer to stay with you two." She said with a hopeful look at you.
