Exploring Junestown.

Junestown is a larger place than what I expected to find in the forest. I take a look around to see what is to be found here.

A large hall built of stone on its first floor and wood above stands in the center of the town, it has multiple functions, home of the mayor, court house, barrack for the militia or passing troops and shelter in case of attack.

{if Met gilian = 1} There is a large tree near the hall and a sinister presentation on one of its branches, a large man sized steel cage is hung from it and a few ropes ending in nooses are lined on the rest of the branch. Neither the cage nor the rope are occupied, but the **** of crows perched above them is a clear indication of their purpose and frequent use. {endif} {if Met gilian !=1} There is a large tree near the hall and a sinister presentation on one of its branches, a large man sized steel cage is hung from it and a few ropes ending in nooses are lined on the rest of the branch. There is a naked girl in the cage, a corali Islander from her golden brown skin, she is covered in bruises and welts. A small board nailed under the cage has been painted with the word THIEF. {endif}

I spot a forge, a bakery, a butcher shop and a few stalls selling vegetables or various items on the southern part of the town, all gathered in a small market. If I go look at it first I'll be able to do something else before leaving town.

On the northern side stands an Inn and its stable, the smell of food from the kitchen makes my mouth water and is strong enough to mask the usual smell of horseshit of the stables. I have {Shillings} shillings and for one of them I could probably spend the night in a real bed after a nice meal and a pint of beer or a few glasses of wine.
{if companion viviane = 1} My new servant in tow makes the Inn an even more promising prospect. Sure it will cost a little more but after telling her that I'll only take one room she might consider sharing my bed rather than sleep on the floor. {endif}

I don't like what the villagers have done to the girl in the cage. I am sure that if I wait for the middle of the night I would be able to break her out of this cage to rescue her. But do I want to take this risk? That also means that I won't be able to stay here or come back, better make sure I don't have more business here if I choose to this. {endif}
