Her body froze as it sometimes did when she was embarrassed. She didn’t know what to say as her brother continued to stare. Emily didn’t even register that Kevin was doing what he did best, and was about to poke her.

Frozen in shock, she can’t help but see in slow motion as her little brother’s finger came closer and closer. She willed herself to wake up and do something, but she was rooted to the spot.
