A discussion

"Your husband saved my life Mrs. Collins," Lyndsey said quietly, stepping closer to the embracing couple.

Jess looked even more confused, turning her face up to Hunter's with a puzzled frown. "Hunter?"

"Let's all go inside," he said firmly, putting his arm around Jess and leading her towards the door. "We don't need to discuss this in the middle of the yard."

He sat beside Jess on the couch and nodded Lyndsey to a chair. Jess was looking from one to the other as if expecting an explanation to suddenly pop up on one of them.

"Jess, this is going to be hard to understand..." he started, breaking off as Jess started to cry.

"Is she your girlfriend?" she sobbed. "I know I'm not the sexiest wife in the world..." Hunter pulled her into a hug, pressing her face against his chest.

"It's not like that Jess. I just met Lyndsey tonight. Under difficult circumstances. You're going to have to listen to me." Jess was clinging to him, her face rubbing against his chest as her sobbing slowly subsided. He could suddenly smell the sweet aroma of her wakening arousal, and patted the back of her head.

"The dog bite this morning," he began. "It changed things. It wasn't just a dog and it wasn't an accident. It's why I'm different, why I smell different to you." He stopped, at a loss for how to continue, and caught Lyndsey looking at them. There was a hint of jealously in her face, but the overwhelming emotion she showed was compassion.

"Hunter saved me from being ****," Lyndsey blurted. "Maybe killed. He was wonderful, Mrs Collins."

Jess turned her head to look at her, then looked up at Hunter. "Is that how you lost your clothes? Were they torn up in a fight?"

Hunter had been thinking from the moment they walked in the door and finally made a decision.

"I'm going to show you something Jess. It's going to be very strange, but there's no way to tell you that makes it easy to believe. Don't be frightened."
