Chapter 5 by PaleBackground27 PaleBackground27

Should he take the deal, counter-offer or wait for the verdict?

Counter-Offer

Kevin was a little worried. Had he been over-confident coming into this case?

The facts were pretty clear-cut, but there'd never been a proper ruling on this case, so there was no idea what to expect. Even now, if the judge decided he couldn't rule in favour of **** sexual acts, Kevin could not only lose the case, but set precedent against future cases, and might cancel out other chances at a good fuck for everyone. It was a lot to risk.

A year of sex, even metered out, was a pretty good deal in comparison. But something felt off.

'She would come over to fuck once a week, and he could visit her twice more a week for a blowjob?'

It wasn't a relationship, or even an ongoing partnership. It was just a series of fuck visits. Kevin wanted more than that. He wanted a fuck relationship. So he set up what he felt was an appropriate counter-offer. Kevin sent a note to the defence with the following.

'She would live with me, separate rooms, but only be obligated for one fuck and one blowjob per week. Household rules must be followed, to be detailed later.'

Murmuring at the defence table, followed by another, shorter note.

'Household rules, to be detailed now.'

Damn. Kevin was hoping for some time to think. He thought quickly as he jotted down.

'Five rules.

  1. Doors must remain open at all times.
  2. Guests are only permitted up to two nights a week.
  3. Absences of longer than one consecutive night must be pre-approved.
  4. Weekly household chores* must be completed.
  5. Weekly dress code* to be worn when without guests.

*to be set by Kevin

Following a small grace period for each rule, rule breakages will be penalised by a single relief coupon, with no restriction or expiry.

Kevin knew this was a long shot. Rules 1, 2 and 3 allowed almost no privacy or relief, and 4 and 5 were vague and could easily be exploited. The penalty itself was excessive. But these were his highball demands, his wish list. From here they could haggle, until they reached a situation they could both live with. Even a couple of these rules would be a lot of control.

Kevin glanced over to see Scarlett's reaction. There was a small, furious discussion among the table, as Scarlett seemed very upset with her lawyers. After a short moment, she sat back, upset and defeated. Her lead council stood.

"Your honour," he began, "The plaintiff and the defence have reached an agreement."

A note, even smaller than the last, was passed across to Kevin's table. It read simply:

'We accept.'

What now?
