Chapter 10 by Shandy Shandy

How does the game go?

Teddy kills it.

"Hello, my name is Fawn. I'll be your ball girl today," a pretty young blonde greeted them as they reached the court. Michael took in her tanned legs and curvy body with a smile, and noted the Teddy gave the young woman an appreciative glance as well as she flounced away to her seat near the net.

They spun a racquet to determine serve, then he and Teddy took opposite sides of the court. Teddy bounced a ball on the clay, then tossed it up and hit a blazing ace into his court that he barely moved for.

"Fifteen Love," she said with a smile as she moved to take her second serve.

After another two serves Michael realised he was hopelessly outclassed by Teddy. Not only were here serves the equal or better of any man he'd played, she was quicker and more agile than him, and far more adept at the game. He felt accomplished if he managed to return a serve, and a positive winner if he volleyed more than twice.

After two games, he hadn't scored a point, and while he admired watching Teddy's graceful speed across the court, he couldn't help feeling intimidated by her skill and wanted nothing more than to wipe the confident smile off her face.

She bounced the ball to before serving to start the third game, then unleashed another rocket. This time Michael didn't move at all, his attention distracted by a new development.

Someone's necklace had turned green.

Who is it? Teddy? Or Fawn? Or both of them?
