"Dr. Doe?" he said, laying a huge and sympathetic hand on your shoulder.

The other guys at the table all shut up when they heard this. Andy turned red and Simon excused himself from the room.

"Yeah, thanks T. We're working it out; she's a real trooper about things like this."

"Yes she is," he stated.

"Come again?"

"I just paid her a call down at the school. She was fine, just like you taught her I'm sure."

You can't believe it. "What? She called you just now?" You look at your watch. School only let out about 30 minutes ago. She must have called right when class let out.
