She Tries Too But Chickens Out

As you started to cook the burgers Gwen started to hum a song. You listened closely and after a minute heard her start to sing softly, "You have a great voice Gwen." You said as you flipped a burger,

Gwen looked back at you her face red, you couldn't believe that almost everything you do makes her blush. "T-thanks John. Glad it's not annoying."

"Oh please Gwen, why would I be annoyed by a nice voice singing?" You asked,

Gwen looked back at you with a smile and clearly looked at you with wanting eyes. You turned back to the burgers enjoying this little strive for your affection she's trying to do. Gwen suddenly dropped her knife. "Dammit." Gwen grumbled and bent over to pick it up. You looked over at her only to see her cute bottom point straight at you.

You looked at it intently for a moment but once Gwen turned her head back towards you, you looked away quickly. Gwen clearly saw you eyeing her and smiled back to herself. Her mistake actually gave her a way to get your affection. She washed off the knife and this time dropped it on purpose.

This time you you and Gwen both bent down to grab it. You reached out for the knife just as she did and ended up grabbing her hand. Gwen pulled her hand back and blushed furiously. You grabbed the knife and handed it too her. "Here you go Gwen." You said smiling at her,

"Thanks John, I um....yeah thanks." Gwen fumbled out and turned back to her station. Throughout the rest of lunch Gwen talked little and focused on her cutting of the toppings. Once the food was done you prepared the burgers and brought them over to the table. You and Gwen ate the burgers in mostly silence. However you could see that Gwen kept looking at you intently.
