Your Diggers Strike A Microcline Deposit, And Helga Goes Out Hunting...

After the Wagons are into the protection of the tunnel, Helga and Ingrid debate which of them should go out hunting for some game to supply the feast for when your excavations first strike a metallic ore. Ultimately it is decided that Helga should be the one to go and Ingrid stand watch at the entrance.

While Helga goes off hunting, Ingrid Stands watch, Snorgi and Bolga sleep, and Driscoll and Fogrit continue to dig you are left at loose ends for an hour or two. You decide to spend it keeping a journal of the colony's progress, and note down most* of the important events.
*(You leave out your rapidly increasing temptations and indiscretions with Helga and Ingrid...)

Just as you are finishing up Driscoll calls out, "Well now, what's all THIS then?", and begins carefully digging at the side of the tunnel. Everyone who's here and not asleep comes to look and you recognize it immediately: Microcline, a low value gemstone...

"Well done Driscoll, you've made our first strike of the delving!" You say, pating him on the back, and go to open the strongbox.

"Ten Silver, as agreed, and a further ten copper for being first," you say, handing Driscoll the pre aranged bounty. "We must be what: Fourty five feet in? I'm no priest but I'd say this augars well, Yes?" You ask and everyone chuckles a bit...
