Chapter 7
by adam17017
What's next?
A long expected conversation, and a promise come true
"Well, I guess this is my stop here Arwen." You say as you stand in front of Lord Elrond's meeting chamber.
"Yeah, it was good seeing you again Baldor."
"It was great seeing you again also, if we have time after we could-"
"Hey Baldor! Stop flirting with my daughter, it's time for our meeting." Elrond interrupted from above from the balcony.
"Right well...." Arwen leans over and kisses your cheek before walking away towards her destination. You put your hand up to your cheek to feel the first kiss she had given you in fifty years. You look up to the balcony to see Elrond had already gone inside, you sigh, and enter the building. You had never really appreciated Elven architecture during your first visit, how about now?
[A1]- I've grown a certain fondness for the intricacies and detail put into Elven architecture (increase fondness of Elves)
[A2]- I still don't get it, I prefer the plainness of Orc architecture, it's easier to look at (increase loyalty to the Dark Lord)
[A3]- Doesn't matter (no change in loyalties)
You enter the building and walk up the stairs into the expansive study of the scholar Elrond of Rivendell. "Ah, Baldor." Elrond says as he comes over for a hug, as he pulls back to get a good look at you. "You have seen much hardship for our cause Baldor, I thank you on behalf of all the free folk living on this Earth."
"Much hardship I have gone through, true, but I hope it was all worth it."
"I hope so to. A shadow is growing in the East, we have heard tales from spies saying that the Corsairs of Umbar are increasing their raids along the waterways in Gondor, and that the Haradrim are mobilizing to the South."
"Dark news indeed." You agree as you both walk over to a map of Middle Earth. "It is only a matter of time before war breaks out Elrond" you say seriously "I have delayed it as much as I can. War will come to Gondor on three fronts, Mordor from the East, Harad from the South, and the Corsairs from the water."
"Yes, but Rohan will answer their call."
"Rohan has problems of their own, as do we here."
"What are you saying Baldor?" You point to Isengard on the map.
"Saruman has betrayed us." You say, as Elrond shouts in fury.
[B1]- Try to calm him down (60% chance of improved relations, 30% chance of no effect, 10% chance of injury that lasts one chapter)- improved relations by 5
[B2]- Do nothing (80% chance of no effect, 20% chance of relations decreasing)
"How do you know this?!" Elrond says as he starts to calm down.
"I received a letter from the Dark Lord, saying explicitly what happened at the White Council, and that Saruman was now a servant of Darkness. He looked to far with the Palantir." Elrond walked around the room with his hand covering his face. "I have a feeling that orc horde beyond the river may be of his creation."
"I had that same feeling. So this is what you meant about Rohan not being able to help Gondor."
"Yes. If we could look back at the map, Gondor is attacked from three sides. Ithillien will fall quickly, the Steward will pull his forces back from the perimeters no doubt, he'll probably leave Ithillien to the Rangers, they will harry the enemy, but not slow them down for long. The orcs will march through Ithillien, and either head straight for Osgiliath, split up and half go down into Rohan, or the whole army goes straight for Rohan. Since Ithillien will not be heavily guarded, the pass to Rohan will be open. That's the least of Rohan's worries though, Isengard will unleash her legions, Rohan will not have the strength to repel these two giants. The world will be covered in Darkness once again." Elrond looks at you
"What would you have me do? Abandon the world?!"
"I would have you and all your people take the ships to the undying lands. Leave this world to die, men destroyed the world, let them pay for it."
"Men may have put us in this position, but this world doesn't hold only men, we all have a part to play in this battle before the end. We will need you again Baldor, go get some sleep, you know where to find me if you need me. I must arrange a meeting with the Elders and the rest of the White council, they should be made aware of Saruman's betrayal."
"As you wish Lord Elrond." You excuse yourself from his study with a bow and head out the way you came in. All the pain, all the suffering you had to go through these fifty years to gather all this information, and it only takes ten minutes to relay it before I'm excused?! How do you feel?
[C1] -Outraged! No consideration of my hard work at all! (Loyalty increases to the Dark Lord, decreases to the Elves, and decreases towards Elrond)- increases by 5 and decreases by 5
[C2]- He has much on his mind (Loyalty slightly increases towards Elves)
You walk towards the cabin that Arwen told you was set for your use while you were walking towards Elrond's. It was a nice looking building with Elven architecture, and nice wooden structure. You start loosening your sword belt, and quiver straps as you reach your door and open it. You drop your weaponry on the floor by the door, and remind yourself to hang it up nicely somewhere later. You strip off your armored shirt and hang it in the closet, where you see that some Elven garments that you love have been supplied to you for your use. You look at your shoulder wound where Arwen stuck you with an arrown and see that a scar has already formed, it was times like these where you curse your quick healing. You drop your pants, and turn to your bed to get a quick nap before heading out for something to eat. What you see on your bed surprises you though, as you see three female Elves sitting there. You recognize them from fifty years ago, they are Arwen's handmaidens. "Iolneth (meaning flood plain)? Celegwen (meaning swift maiden)? Hithwen (meaning mist maiden)? What are all you doing here?"
"Well, Arwen sent us here, she said that you might need a massage." Iolneth said. Iolneth was a tall blonde Elf with the characteristic relatively flat chest of all other female Elves. Both Celegwen and Hitwen were similarily flat but all three had asses to kill for, Arwen must have sent these three in particular because of that reason. When you had been together fifty years ago, Arwen had caught you many times checking out these beautiful girls' asses.
"It's great to see you girls, it's been so long."
"Has it been? It feels but yesterday that you had your eyes glued to our asses, even in front of our lady no less." Hithwen says as the three of them giggle like little girls.
"Well for you it must feel like a blink of an eye, but for me, it felt too long."
"Not quite a blink of an eye Baldor, we're not quite that old yet." Celegwen said. You chuckle to yourself remembering the good times the four of you spent together waiting for Arwen to return from her duties as the Lord's daughter, when you look down and see your ten inch cock erect and pointing straight at the girls. You look back up to see Iolneth arching her perfect brow at you, what will you do?
[D1]- See where this goes (Goes without saying, but Relations increase)
[D2]- Let them make the first move (50% chance of relations increase, 50% chance of relations decrease)
[D3]- Find some clothes and make an excuse to go have dinner together (Relations decrease with them three, Relations increase with Arwen)- decrease by 5 each, increase by 5 to Arwen
[D4]- Choose one particular girl and let the others watch (Relations increase with the chosen girl, Relations decrease with the two others)
Author's note: Check back to the character relations table to see Baldor is feeling about everyone. It will be updated after every chapter's decisions are in and counted.
