Dominic Forester, looking for work

Dominic Forester, a bright if listless young man who, moving fully into the city he lived in while attending college, was somewhat dismayed to find it harder to land a job than anticipated. Moving from one job to the next, his clever charm got him many a job, though his lack of motivation and simple bad luck meant he never hung on to one for long. Now, having just lost a job at a deli (turns out, much to the surprise of the sleazy owner, that a Cerberus person makes for a good health inspector), Dominic sat in his meager apartment looking online for any job he can.

Physically, Dominic is an alright looking guy. He's tall and slim, if a little out of shape, and his dark skin is smooth and clear. His green eyes glazed over as he scrolled through more and more pages of part-time offers, and he stretches out yawning, about to give up for the night, when he sees his phone start to vibrate on his desk.

"Hello?" He said, his rich voice tinged by his body's desire to sleep.

"Hey, Dom?"

"Hey, Shannon!"

Shannon had been Dominic's friend since sophomore year, after they met in a chemistry class; for him, one of the requisite science classes he needed to take to graduate, and for her, one of the many science and ecology classes she would take. Being a lake monster ala Nessie, after all, she had a vested interest in keeping the lakes and oceans of the world clean. Also being a lake monster, the green and scaly Shannon was way taller than him, not to mention a good bit wider, and it was a shock for the young man who had grown up with very few monsters in his surrounding community. Still, the two became fast friends, and Shannon had heard a number of times about his job troubles.

"Hiya, Dom! How're things going on the job hunt?"

"Uh, well.... it's going alright, I guess," he said, rubbing one eye while the other scanned a page of slightly-less meager offers. "Haven't found anything that good yet, but, y'know. I'll keep looking."

"See, that's what I wanted to call about," Shannon started, "I went downtown today and saw this one place, had a help wanted sign..."

"Yeah?" Dom said, a little life returning to him. He was willing to jump on any opportunity at this point, "What was it?"
