An employee at the gym she also works at

"So like, I took up a position as a swim coach at this gym downtown," Shannon explained, "and we've gotten, like, super busy recently. The owner's been pulling her hair out trying to find some extra help, so I mentioned I had a friend looking for something, and she's all but already said yes if you wanna take the spot."

"Jeez, sounds ****," Dom replied. He was anxious for a job, but being thrust into a really busy position he didn't know anything about was a scary prospect, "I mean, I'll take it, but..."

"Don't worry about it!" Shannon assured him, "We were understaffed to begin with, and you're not our only new hire, so, you'd be fine! And you've got me to show you the ropes!'

"Well... alright."

"Great! I'll take you by tomorrow!"

Dom rubbed his temples, but he at least knew he could call it a night. A job was a job, even if he didn't know much about what working in a gym actually entailed. "Yeah, see you then." Clicking his phone off, and shutting his computer down, Dominic let out a sigh as he reached his arms back and stretched. Beggars couldn't be choosers, and if this worked out, he'd owe Shannon big time. Better to face the job with a good nights rest, Dom thought, and quickly tossed himself into bed.

The next morning, Dom got up bright and early, dressed in fresh t-shirt and some track pants, getting an assurance over text from Shannon that he should dress for the job, not an interview. He stepped outside just in time to see Shannon come down the road, ready to pick him up. The large lizard lady was wider than one would expect from a swimmer, but her green scaly skin made up for that enough that her skill at swimming let her glide through the water. Her neck, longer and more flexible than a normal human's, was hunched a bit to fit in her car, but the sea serpent still greeted her friend with a smile. Dom noticed she was dressed for work as well, with black shorts and a black jacket that was unzipped, revealing a blue one piece swimsuit underneath.

"Ready for your first day? Get ready, cause we're gonna start up with a meeting before we actually open today, just so you can like, meet everyone, y'know?"

"Alright," Dom said, nodding, "So... uh, what's my job, actually? You just mentioned you needed some extra hands...."

"Well... that's pretty much just it!" Shannon explained, "The idea is that you'd basically just be going wherever there's too many people for the usual employees to deal with at once. Y'know, just bouncing around the gym to help out where it's needed most."

"So I guess I'd be picking things up as I go along?"

"Exactly! You don't really need to be good at anything in particular, as long as you can pick it up as you go." Dominic considered this as the car drove on, arriving at a fairly expansive looking gym, the logo being of a lightning bolt striking a flexing arm, and the name reading "Goldstein's Gym"
