Taking down the Valor gym

Once we get across the street to a little church that is also a gym I click on it to see what is inside. It is pretty well stacked with two Draginites on top, then a Snorlax, a Lapras, and a mix of Vaporeons, Rhydons and an Exeguttor beneath.

I can tell Sara is looking at me from the corner of her eye, wondering if I will be able to defeat the gym by myself, so I nod at her in confidence, saying:

"No problem."

Then I line up my team to make my initial attack, using two of my Gyarados, a Jolteon, two of my Vaporeons and one of my Arcanines. My Jolteon quickly dispatches one of the Vaporeons, then takes half the HP of the next Vaporeon before it faints, so I finish that one with one of my Gyarados. Arcanine makes swift work of defeating the Exeguttor, then my Vaporeon dispatches the two Rhydons. Then another Vaporeon is next, and again I use my Gyarados to defeat it, and he does some damage to the Lapras before fainting. Snorlax is next, so I use Arcanine against him, then when he faints I send in one of my Vaporeons against him to finish the job. I now find myself fighting the first Dragonite, and my Vaporeon does quite a bit of damage to him before fainting, and then I am down to my final Gyarados. I manage to defeat the Dragonite, and then through some good dodging work I also manage to defeat the final Dragonite as well.

I smile confidently at Sara as the gym drops down to Level 9, and she squeezes my arm as I heal my squad for my next attack, and she says:

"Matt, to my mind there is nothing sexier than a high level Pokemon trainer."

I feel myself blushing so don't say anything as I again attack the gym, bringing it down to Level 8, and as I do so Sara claps and cheers.

It takes me a while to defeat the gym, but at last I finally do so, and Sara jumps up and down, cheering as I add one of my Pokemon to the gym. She fishes out her phone and adds a defending Pokemon to the gym as well and then I see her trainer name:
