Casually, Ellen reached for the pictures, and as she did knocked them out of your hand, and they fell to the floor. Most landed in a group, face down on the light brown carpet. Your wonder if you should ask about the party in the pictures, or skip it, not wanting to risk souring Ellen’s mood, and perhaps ruining the weekend.
