The door with the crown

After giving it a moment of thought you decide that a crown is most fitting for a noble like you, so you choose that door. The silver key fits perfectly and with a quiet click the door unlocks. Wasting no time you walk through it...

...and find yourself in an octagonal room, near one of the walls. To your relief the horrible stench is gone, but unfortunately so is the door that led you here. In fact you see no door, or any sort of exit, anywhere – just dark gray stone walls, dark gray stone floor, dark gray stone ceiling, and eight round marble columns in the center of the room.

A quick check reveals that the columns are identical, with the only difference being the crown on top of each one. When you get closer to the nearest one you see that it reaches to a little below your breasts.

With no visible way to leave this room you focus your attention on the crowns. The one closest to you is also the least impressive one – it is little more than a circle made from silver. A second silver crown has some small gems on it and looks fit for a noble, maybe even a princess. The third crown is made from gold and with quite a few precious gems – it looks like something a queen would wear. There's a second golden crown, this one with a lot more gems. It would cost a small fortune to make a crown like that... and it would likely be really heavy. You think as you examine it.

The other four crowns are a bit different. The first one looks like a branch with sharp thorns growing from it. The second one is made from some dark metal you don't recognize and has a dim purple glow around it. It is the most normal-looking of the four. The third would be a pretty normal crown – if not for the fact that it appears to be made entirely from ice. And the last one is more like a small wreath made from flowers and weeds, except it is clearly made from some metal.

I guess I am supposed to do something with the crowns, such as wear one of them... You think as you walk around the room, examining them from different angles.
