Chapter 3 by reaper13

How many of the students say they have engaged in interracial sex?

Only 3.2% of them

Two days later ‘the divertsity committee’ started handing out the questionnaires to every student on campus. Eve herself naturally received one as well, which naturally she filled out.
When she gets the question if she had slept with someone from another race she sadly has to answer no, which she feels a bit ashamed of. She is all in favor of diversity, but has not yet engaged in it herself.
The question that follows, ‘Are you willing to have intercourse with someone of another race?’ is one to which she can answer with a proud ‘yes’. If it helps to spread diversity she is willing to … hmm, spread her legs? Suddenly Eve becomes a lot more hesitant about actually doing it. But she has already put an X in the box next to yes. Well, she is not dating anyone. If she were to find a cute boy who isn’t white she’ll probably have intercourse with him anyways. It just depends on the person.
That very same day however students came to her complaining about these two questions. Eve had expected this would happen so she has her answer ready.
“The committee is merely trying to discover how the students feel about diversity. If they were to omit this question it would lead to a large gap of information.”
Though not everyone was satisfied with her answer, many did see her reasoning behind it and the uproar quickly died down.

The next week Eve sat down with the members of ‘the diversity committee’ again to discuss the results of the questionnaire. Most of the information gathered are sadly things that were already known. But when it comes to the sex questions, it is another story.
“According to this questionnaire only 3.2 % of all students have had interracial sexual relations. 2.6% of them are white students vs 0.6% of the black students.” Michael informs Eve.
“What about the others?” Eve asks. “The Asian, arab and latino students.”
Michael puts his paper down and says, “Zero.”
“Not even one?” Eve asks him.
“It is not like there are many of them, Miss President.” A white girl, named Sally, sitting next to Michael says. “Together they make up only 5% of the student body, while blacks and whites together form 95%. The smaller their number, the lower the chance we’ll find one who is brave enough to ‘check the grass on other side’ if you will.”
“I see,” Eve continues. “What about the other question?”
“From these numbers it appears like we can discern a clear support and oppose group.” Michael says. “In grand total, about 62% of our students say they are opposed to partners outside or their race leaving 38% willing to experiment outside.”
Eve frowns ate this information.
“So you are saying close to 2/3 of our students are against diversifying and only a rough 1/3rd is in favor?”
“I believe we can assume that, ma’m.” Sally tells the president.
Eve then asks Sally if she has any specifics which kinds of students support or oppose.
“The majority of the white men are opposed to intercourse outside of their race, miss president. Black boys on the other hand have the majority in support. The Asian men have 2/3 opposed, arab men are 70% support and latino men support with 68% of their number.”
“What about the girls?” Eve asks.
“About 52% of white girls are willing to get other racial boys a chance. The black girls are split in half. Almost 3 quarters of Asian girls are in support, so too are 20% of the arab girls and close to 3 quarters of the latino girls are against.”
“These numbers are a bit disturbing.” Eve thinks as she sees the document.
So many white men (86%) who don’t want to have anything to with other races. Does this school really have so many racists?
“There is another disturbing number, miss president.” Michael says.
Eve looks up from the document and asks, “What is it?”
“Out of all the white students 33% have suggested they are willing to try interracial, but only 2.6% has confirmed to have actually done it. That means a massive 30% the white students is closeted about it.”
“I see.” Eve replies.
That is indeed concerning. It is like there is a social taboo on diverse couplings causing many students who are willing to lack the courage to go ahead with it. Sadly, Eve has to admit, she is one of them.
“That is why we would like to propose a mandatory sex mandate.” Sally continues.
“Excuse me?” Eve asks.
“Scientists that have performed studies on interracial couplings say that once people have had sex outside their race are much more open towards diversity. Seeing how people of the other races act similar during something so intimate makes them more as fellow humans and less like ‘the other’.” Michael explains.
“We understand it is truly controversial issue, but I for one can say it is true.” Sally says.
“You have experience, I assume?” Eve asks the girl.
“I do.” Sally replies. “I have had sex with a black guy before and I can attest that ever since then I have been more appreciative for what black people have done for our community.”
Eve leans back in her chair and ponders the proposal.
“So you are saying that if we were to have a mandate which demands students to have interracial intercourse, it will improve relations between the races?” Eve asks the members of the committee.
“Yes.” Both of them say.

Should Eve support a mandate like this?
