Chapter 38 by simmaster
Should you find out?
Yes.
You leave the shed and walk over to your wolves, getting your dagger out of your inventory. It's for the good of the pack... Just like you getting them killed to kill the heroes was for the good of the pack... Man, you'll really have to be nice to these guys to get the pack morale back up.
Once the process is over, you head back to the shed with two wolf pelts, using the crafting equipment to turn one of them into leather. Then you finally reforge the armor and eagerly put it on, opening your stats to see the change.
Higher Werewolf (Mikael)
Lvl: 25
Melee Attack: 40
Armor: 13 (+18)
Weaknesses: Fire, Silver
Special Abilities:
Bloodlust: You deal more damage the less health you have.
Tracking: Enemies leave a trail that disappears after 30s * your level.
Heightened Senses: You can see in the dark, hear sounds from further away, smell enemies from further away and distinguish them by smell.
Blood of the Beast: Regenerate 2 HP/sec.
Call of the Alpha: A howl that summons all wolfkin (wolves, werewolves etc.) within hearing range.
Leader of the Pack: Form a pack with up to 4 members that can be commanded. Wolves of level 26 and below and werewolves of level 24 and below can be added.
Fearsome Roar: Inflicts fear on animals of level 24 and below and humanoids of level 12 and below.
Transform: Switch between human and werewolf form at will. **** transformation occurs only during the full moon.
Human Speech: You are able to speak in the human tongue even in werewolf form.
Spreader of the Curse: Your melee attacks have a 1% chance of infecting humanoid enemies with lycanthropy, and drinking a bottle of your blood has a 100% chance of having the same result.
Werewolf Crafting: You can reforge all equipment within your crafting level into customized versions to be used by werewolves.
Now that is a nice upgrade to your armor stat. You turn around to face Ilimia.
"How do I look?" you ask.
"Um..." she mumbles. "Good, I guess?"
You inspect your new armor to the extent you can. The gloves have holes for the fingertips, allowing your claws to stick out. The boots are opened to let you stand on your paws rather than the soles, and again keeping your claws visible. Otherwise the armor seems to look virtually the same as it did before you reforged it, except for a few obvious changes in proportion.
You realize you should probably get some armor for Ilimia as well. You're not sure if the ability to wear reforged armor is specific to you or if only the ability to reforge armor is. Either way, you're out of materials now. So you'll simply have to wait until you get more, and then you'll find out if she too can wear armor.
"Don't worry, I'll get armor for you too eventually," you say, wanting her to know about your generous plans for her. "But for now, I'm out of material."
Well, that is not quite true. You saved one thing that you also wanted to equip.
What is it?

Game Monster
From Creep to Boss
You come into being as a low-level monster, the kind heroes chew through like popcorn. You know the drill, whether you're a player yourself or an artificial intelligence, and you're sick of it. You set out on your own quest: to defeat the heroes at any cost (or at least be an epic boss somewhere down the line).
