Who does he choose?
A member of his family
He figures that it would be safest to stay close to home this time and that he has less chance of being discovered if he is someone he knows well. So instead of going after a neighbour or a random passer by he goes looking for a member of his own family. Perhaps his loving wife or one of his beautiful teenage daughters.
He slithers cautiously out of his room until he finds...?
