Chapter 13 by robyna robyna

Time for second period?

Matt dreads Trigonometry

One reason Matt's father had moved to 'The Hill,' and one reason Matt was taking summer school, was that Matt had outright failed his trig class back in L.A. Public School District. He'd always done okay in math before trig, but trig had stumped him. He wasn't sure if it was that he'd spent the semester trying to look up the skirt of the girl who'd sat next to him in class, if the teacher was incompetent, or if Matt's brain simply couldn't get it.

And now he was stuck taking it again.

The instructor was a middle-aged Indian woman... with an accent. She had a decent enough figure, from what Matt could see under the tunic over pants she wore, but she was middle-aged. Not exactly Matt's target. On the other hand, she was female and Matt was a virgin.

He looked around to see what the student population looked like. {if Wendy>0}Wendy,{else}the girl{endif} from the bus sat in the second row. {if Wendy=0} She glanced at him shyly then looked away. {elseif Wendy>0}She smiled and nodded at the seat next to her. {else} She looked the other way, refusing to meet his gaze. {endif} Also, there was an empty chair next to a mousy-looking brown-haired girl with a mouth full of braces.

"Well," the instructor says. "Sit down, young man."

Who does Matt sit next to?
