Chapter 2

Do you wait?
What choice is there?
I stare at the door sam has just been lead through.
I... couldn't look at the medical sites. I don't know what type of surgery she's getting, or even how long it lasts. God. She could be... no. Don't even think it. Stay positive.
I grab a cone of water from the dispenser, and sit down. I hold the cone with both hands, staring at the water.
Time passes. I have no clue how long i wait, staring blankly. I strain my eyes, as the world around my cone seems to blur.
It's a sensation I can't describe. Have you ever closed your eyes in an elevator? That feeling of your entire body being under a different gravity than your head? It was like that. My eyes blurred, and what was once a cold sterile white of a Hospital Waiting Room was now a dark, grungy corridor. I blankly look around, trying to get my bearings. Without noticing, I'm no longer sitting on an uncomfortable seat, but am leaning against some sort of tube. Something like a vertical sleeping bag, at a thirty-five degree angle. Even my hands had moved slightly to accomodate my water cone.
I stand up, but nearly trip as I stagger. My legs felt like jelly. I look around. Aside from the creepy pod-like vertical bed I came out of, it looks like the entire corridor is lined by more of the same, except they were closed, with a small window in to each. The corridor only has two ways; one lighted along the way, and the other steeped in darkness.
I look at my cone again, and fling it into my face, dousing myself. Looking again, nothing has changed.
Where do you go?
Spaceship [Visual] Novel
Testing the Waters
What I hope will become a Visual novel. The story of a modern 18 year old boy taken into the realm of sci-fi; a futuristic alien ship with other humans from a less than happy future.
