Now is not the time to strike.

You have gained valuable information and power over the demon, and you will use this to your advantage. However, you will be patient and wait for the right moment to strike. You're still not entirely certain how you managed to give your order, and what your limits are.

Instead of aggravating the shaken demon, you decide there is far more benefit in continuing to show a more cooperative attitude towards him. "Kris... That was... I gave you an order, didn't I? One that you felt compelled to follow."

Kris stops his pacing and gives you a wry smile. "Why yes, Master, how fortuitous for you to discover it so quickly. And? Just what sort of strange orders do you have in mind for me?"

"I'm not going to do anything." You sigh, and sink back into the bed as you honestly admit, "I'm too tired to think of something creative enough to get back at you for all my troubles. In fact, you're really making me feel nervous with all that pacing so I'd actually like you to stop."

"Why don't you order me to, Master?" He growls.

Your eyes fly open with surprise. Despite how angry he sounds, it actually makes you want to laugh. It almost sounds like he's about to get ready to throw a tantrum. You understand that you've managed to sour his mood, but you didn't think he would be affected to the point of just snapping back at you without thinking of the potential consequences.

"I won't make any new orders, at least, I don't see any reason to right now. Okay? It's been a really long day and I want to rest. That's it." You speak in a calm and gentle tone, the way you might to a wounded animal.

And like a wounded animal, you are aware that you might just end up riling him up even more regardless of what you say but...

Kris sighs, "Fair enough."
