Chapter 2 by gevendro gevendro

Will Lillian take the job?

Lillian takes the job

It was attempting, but Lillian was afraid she wouldn't be capable of entering the High Lords castle, and she wouldn't even wanted to think of what would happen to her if she would get caught.

"I really would like to help out an old friend like you," Lillian said with uncertainty in her light blue eyes.

"But..." Ivy continued smiling politely.

"What I've heard of, it's nearly impossible to enter in the High Lords castle. One of the best thieves have tried it and failed miserably and now they are..."

"Dead," Ivy finished Lillians sentence, "but I believe my dear friend, you have somewhat more subtle ways in use than those who have failed." Ivy smirked at Lillian. Watching her body up and down.

Lillian smiled her a heart warming seductive smile with a glimpse of innuendo in her eyes. "So you think I could get in just by my natural charms?"

"I'm afraid it's not that simple." Ivy grinned fiendishly. "The reason why this would be perfect for you, is that I happen to know that High Lord has a thing for the elven girls. I believe I have found one, but unfortenately I can't deliver you to him myself, because after you have stolen the item I would be a suspect. The only way to get you in, is through my rival a half-orc called Kerghan. You have to make him trust you, so that he will introduce you to the High Lord. He has an establishment in business district. So you're still interested?" Ivy asked staring Lillian anticipantly.

"I thought you said this job requires my new talents as a thief." Lillian said with sarcastic smirk on her beautiful face.

"It does my friend, but before you're able to use them. You have to get inside to the castle, and order to get there you must be with someone High Lord trusts. As you know someone in his position can't be very trusting. I don't care how you get in, but I can tell you this. Without someone High Lord trusts it ain't going to be easy." Ivy stared Lillian with a serious look in her eyes. Lillian noticed small wrinkles on the corner of her eyes. She was still young, but she was getting older Lillian concluded. They both fell silent for a moment just staring each other with a vacant face. After a minute Lillian broked the silence by saying with a quiet voice. "I'll do it, for a price of course," she smiled.

"Anything!" Ivy laughed.

"I'll tell you later," Lillian stole away into the night through the same window she used to come in. Once she was out on the street she started to plan things she would do next. She had at least two choices she could think of. She could go to see Kerghan or she could find a member of the thieves guild. Thieves guild was powerful and she was a member of the guild, but even if she could find one it would be hard to convince them to help her. Even the guild was afraid of the High Lord.
