Another test.

I remembered that I still had to test whether or not I could undo alterations. As it stood now was as good a time as always. First I walked back to my quarters, it was pretty useful that there were literally around the corner, and took the second earring with me.

Then I went to the cantina. Why? Well if you remember I had made that alteration that people would knock on the table whenever they finished eating and if I would experiment I might as well take the most harmless one.

At the current hour most units where still on the training grounds, but there was enough business to notice if anything worked.

So, how should I got about this? The most logical thing was simply reversing what I had altered earlier. “It is no longer normal to knock on the table twice after finishing your meal.” I said and waited.

Nothing happened, people still happily knocked on the table. Just taking things back didn’t work, I had expected that. Now if I couldn’t take something back, how about modifying it?

“It is normal knock on the table once after finishing your meal.”

This time things changed, sadly in the worst way. Instead of changing anything people still knocked twice, than waited a moment before knocking once more.

The alterations added up, apparently in the order spoken but I wasn’t willing to research further on that subject. What this ment for me was that I should never ever alter something more than once, unless I wanted to create a really convoluted mess.

But I had found out what I wanted to know, it was time to go.
