a wounded hero falls right at your feet literally
While just minding your business , a hero falls right in front of you. By looking at him. you can tell his hp is almost completely gone. Noticing this you decide to take advantage because its not like dying again can be any worse. You take the offensive and pitifully attack him. 5,4,3,2,2,1,0.
Ding! Level Up!
You look at your new body, you look the same exept your now about 4ft tall, have actual talons for feet, have a 5ft wing span, you've also gained some red stripes in your plumage. Now lets looks at those new stats.

Wow what a power boost. Too bad you can't even use your only ability yet. 'Now I actually have a fighting chance in this world' you think proudly to yourself.
What to do next?
You come into being as a low-level monster, the kind heroes chew through like popcorn. You know the drill, whether you're a player yourself or an artificial intelligence, and you're sick of it. You set out on your own quest: to defeat the heroes at any cost (or at least be an epic boss somewhere down the line).
