Help your mentor.

The demon will have no hold on you. You rush to your mentor's desc and slide under it. Above it you see a pink explosion of energy hit the wall. Pink sparks showering down upon you leaving your exposed body pleaseantly stinging. You have a feeling that the demon might just be trying to corrupt you herself. You find a slick mahogany wand with an ivory grib under the desc and you have to assume that it was the one your mentor was talking about.

You grab it and take a deep breath. You could either throw it to your mentor and avoid being a target... but then again your aim has never been that great. Or you could try and run up to your mentor making sure she gets the wand to dispell the demon, but making you are sure target for any spell the demon might cast upon you.
