Sir Bryan

I had Sir Bryan was called into the throne room to see me. He was a strong, powerfully-built man, accomplished soldier, and favorite among the ladies of the court. He had long history of showing off his prowess with the women and rubbing it in to me. When we were younger, he called me "fairy boy" because he thought of my interest in books and learning over physical activities as being feminine and not manly. He would now learn to regret ever treating me like this.

"Your majesty," said Sir Bryan bowing low to ground. "My condolences to you for the **** of your brother, the king. How can I be of service?"

"Thank you, Sir Bryan. I was thinking of appointing you to a new position in the court."

"As you wish, my lord," Sir Bryan said as he puffed out his chest and thought this was his long-awaited promotion to Supreme Military Commander. "What position may that be?"

"Princess Beatrice just came of age and is now in need of a personal assistant. I can think of no one more suited for this role than yourself. You shall be her lady-in-waiting."

"Lady-in-waiting, my lord? Forgive me but this must be some sort of joke. Is this not a role reserved for the young maidens of the court?"

"Perhaps but I'm sure you should be perfectly capable of managing the princess' wardrobe and hosting her court dances and taking care of all of the other important duties delegated to this role. If not," I said as my guard walked menacingly to Sir Bryan carrying chains, "I'm sure I can find someone that would be willing to."

"A-a-as you wish, my lord," said Sir Bryan inching away from the guard.

"Excellent. Guards, please escort Sir Bryan to Lady Stella where she will go over his new roles and make sure he is properly attired."
