What now?
Suki's words of wisdom
Allison glared up at Jo from where she had fallen, then at Eric and Sam. "Screw you all," she said. "And you can find yourselves another fucking housemate, 'cause I'm out of here as of this afternoon."
"You won't be missed," Sam shrugged.
Suddenly the girls all started shouting at once, drowning each other out in a cacophony of accusations and insults flying in all directions. A coffee cup that shattered on the floor drew no one's attention. In the midst of the verbal brawl, Allison picked herself up off the floor and advanced on Sam with her arm drawn back to strike -
Only to have her legs suddenly swept out from under her by some irresistable ****.
Sam swiveled around as she saw Allison go down out of the corner of her eye, only to meet a similar fate as something connected with the backs of her knees and knocked her to the ground. In the next moment, Eric, Jo, and Anita followed, each falling to the pillows and cusions that still lay all over the floor from the previous night.
Before she could work out what was happening, Cathy felt a grip on her arm and found herself inexplicably flipped through the air, landing on her back on a large sofa cushion. She looked up and saw Suki standing over her downed housemates, her feet planted apart, her arms raised in a defensive posture, her eyes narrowed and glaring.
The room, needless to say, had gone utterly quiet.
"Was that Suki?" Jo asked quietly, breaking the silence.
"Um, yeah," Anita responded. "And apparently, she knows Judo."
"Fifth-level black belt," Suki hissed in a voice that none of them had heard her use before.
"And what exactly made you decide to throw everyone to the carpet?" Allison asked.
"Because I am disgusted with you all!" Suki shouted. "I am ashamed of what happened between us last night, but I am even more ashamed of what is happening now! This is not how friends treat each other! This is not the way people should act after they have shared what we have shared! Last night, I heard many of us say how we loved each other, and I felt wonderful tenderness and affection from all of you that I will always cherish, even though I know it is wrong that I feel this way. But it is even more wrong that we should hate each other only hours after sharing such love! You are all... very bad friends!"
With that, Suki turned and stomped out of the room. Her footsteps pounded angrily up the stairs and her door slammed behind her.
After a long moment, Anita sat up. "I'm glad we all had this little chat," she said simply. "Maybe we should meet back here after class. Can anyone tell me how to get to MacKenzie hall? I have a Economics class in about twenty minutes."
What is to become of the Dykesbeck Girls now?
